I knew going into Claire and Jack’s Vashon Island wedding weekend that it was going to be gorgeous, I mean, they have incredible taste and the design team from Bixby & Pine was already blowing me away with their inspo. But what I wasn’t ready for was just how much my cheeks would hurt from smiling all day long. These two have the sweetest, most honest kind of love, and the way they looked at each other… I was basically crying behind my camera nonstop.
The whole thing went down on a private property on Vashon, and it was the perfect early September vibe. Warm sun, a little breeze off the water, and that golden light that makes you stop mid-sentence just to soak it in. This Vashon Island wedding looked like a styled shoot but felt like a backyard hangout with your favorite people.
It’s one thing to photograph a beautiful space, but it’s another when the people in it are as top-notch as Claire & Jack’s crew. Their friends and families brought so much love and energy to every part of the day. The ceremony was packed with emotion, lots of tears, lots of laughter, and the toasts were just as good. The kind of speeches that have you laughing out loud one minute and holding back tears the next.
The reception was pure celebration. A live band kept the dance floor full, there were incredible details everywhere you looked, and then late-night Dick’s Drive-In burgers sealed the deal as the perfect Seattle touch. It was stylish, intentional, and still totally fun, which is basically the perfect combination for a wedding.
Claire & Jack pulled off a day that was gorgeous from start to finish, but more than that, it felt real. Their love is honest and so easy to be around. It was such a privilege to capture it all, and I left the island with full memory cards and an even fuller heart.

Claire & Jack, thank you for trusting me with these memories. Wanna be next? Let’s start the conversation!
