Back in June, I had one of those Alki engagement sessions that makes you forget you’re working—because you’re just vibing with great people in a beautiful place. Juj and Reece planned out the perfect little West Seattle itinerary for their session, and I was so here for it. First stop? Elysian Taproom for a round of beers and some cozy, candid shots around the brewery. These two just have that kind of effortless energy together—laughing nonstop, totally in sync, and clearly having a blast.
Right across the street, we hit the train tracks for some moodier, editorial-style shots (because why not give your gallery a little edge?), then made our way down to the waterfront path. Alki Beach was showing off, per usual. That soft breeze, the sun flirting with the horizon, and those dreamy West Coast vibes? Perfection.
Juj and Reece looked stunning—think relaxed but polished, completely in tune with the setting and each other. Their beachside photos were giving total Southern California energy (honestly, if you told someone we were in Malibu, they’d believe you). Alki really has that magic sometimes—it’s Seattle, but with a laid-back coastal twist.
And then, of course, we had their adorable pup stealing the show. He was living his best life—posing, playing, and soaking up every minute with his favorite humans. Honestly, there’s nothing better than a dog who thinks he’s the star of the session… because let’s be real, he kind of was.
As golden hour turned into twilight, Juj and Reece kicked off their shoes, waded into the water, and let themselves be silly—splashing, laughing, just totally wrapped up in the moment. It was one of those scenes that felt straight out of a movie (but with better lighting and cuter leads).
Capturing their love and energy was such a joy for me. Sessions like this remind me why I do what I do—to freeze these fleeting, joy-soaked moments so couples can relive them forever.
Keep scrolling to see the gallery from this dreamy, laughter-filled engagement session. Trust me—you’ll want to see every single frame.

One of my favorite locations: Waterfront Parks
“Brynna is such a JOY to work with! When my husband and I were talking about getting married, I knew Brynna was the gal for the job. When we had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID, Brynna was incredibly flexible and offered to find us an alternative photographer if she wasn’t available on our new date. She did TONS of research for us to make sure we felt taken care of. Luckily, we were able to hold a micro-wedding on our original date and Brynna photographed us! Posing for photos can be awkward, but Brynna makes you feel beautiful and comfortable, laughing with you along the way. She knows how to capture both the staged shots, as well as the cute candid moments. Her aesthetic is contemporary and organic- which I love! I cannot recommend her enough!” -Katie + Justin
