Okay, can we talk about Annette’s house for a second?
Because I walked in for this in home maternity session and immediately wanted to move in! The cutest yellow house, the sweetest light pouring through the windows, and every corner felt like it belonged in a magazine. Add in Annette’s adorable striped skirt and growing baby bump and I was basically in photographer heaven.
I knew this session was going to be a good one within about thirty seconds of arriving.

In-home maternity sessions always feel a little more personal to me. You’re surrounded by the things you love, in the place you’re building a life, and that always makes the photos feel more meaningful.
Annette spent the afternoon moving around the house, curled up on the couch, standing by the windows, and chatting with me about life and the little one who will be here before she knows it. Everything felt relaxed and easy.
One of my favorite moments was watching her move through spaces that already feel like home for this baby. The nursery details, the sunlight spilling across the floor, the familiar corners she’ll soon be pacing through in the middle of the night. It’s such a unique season of anticipation.

Looking through these photos afterward made me smile all over again. This session felt easy from the moment I walked through the front door, and those are usually the ones that end up being my favs.
Whatever the reason, this in home maternity session in West Seattle felt like such a sweet way to document the weeks before everything changes. And can someone explain why 2026 is shaping up to be the year of babies? Because I am absolutely here for it.

Annette, thank you for inviting me into your home and trusting me to capture this season. Your little one is already so loved
