I recently had the HONOR of documenting Kerstyn and Ben’s wedding at the renowned Axis Pioneer Square in Seattle. This venue, industrial, elegant, and stunning, seamlessly melds contemporary design with the area’s storied past. We kicked off the day with a quintessential Seattle overcast morning, and the soft ambient light was sooo perfect for all of their occidental square portraits and sweet first look.

As soon as I arrived I could tell the atmosphere was light-hearted, cheery, and filled with anticipation and joy. Kerstyn and Ben’s genuine connection was palpable, especially during their first look. As Ben turned to face Kerstyn, the tears began to flow from all parties (me included). It was such a tender moment of pure, unfiltered emotion between the two of them.

Their ceremony was deeply moving, with guests clearly sharing in the couple’s happiness. As you flip through the photos, you can really see so many candid, genuine moments between them as a couple, their best friends, and their guests. Community was clearly important to these two, and it shows through in their photos 100%.

The reception was a PARTY, characterized by dancing, beer pong, laughter, and plenty of sweet moments. We capped it all off by stepping away from the dance party for a few minutes and taking some dreamy blue hour photos on the streets of Pioneer Square. It was classic Seattle, and it was perfect.

Kerstyn & Ben, you two are the greatest and I am so glad you let me be a part of your perfect day 🙂
