I recently got to photograph a golden hour Rosario Beach engagement session for the lovely Kate and James, and their adorable pup! We decided on a this picturesque beach just south of Deception Pass, known for its breathtaking sunset views and soft golden light during the evening. It was the perfect setting for a romantic and dreamy engagement shoot. Kate and James were such a fun and laid-back couple to work with. They radiated love and happiness, and it was evident from the moment we started shooting. They were also incredibly natural in front of the camera, which made my job as a photographer so much easier.

As we began the shoot, the sun was beginning to set and it casted a beautiful golden glow across the beach. The soft light created a romantic atmosphere, and I knew we were in for some stunning shots. Kate and James chose the perfect outfits to compliment the beachy vibes. We started with some candid shots of Kate and James walking along the shoreline with their sweet dog. These family photos turned out to be some of my faves! Then James gave Kate a gorgeous new ring that she had been eyeing, which was SO sweet and made for a very tender moment.

Finally, we ended the session on the cliffside as the sun started to disappear for the day. I love how these shots came out, they give off such a moody and romantic vibe. As I packed up my camera gear, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of such a beautiful session. These two are so fun and easy to be around, and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this September in Lake Chelan!
