I’ve been leaning more into branding work lately through my company Kindred Co., and sessions like this one with Society Northwest remind me why I love it so much. There’s something really fun about stepping outside of weddings for a minute and helping a brand show up in a way that actually feels like them.
We spent the afternoon wandering through downtown, grabbing pockets of good light, clean textures, and spots that felt very “Seattle” without trying too hard. This wasn’t about stiff headshots or overly curated moments. It was about capturing the energy of the brand in a way that feels natural, approachable, and real.
If you’ve ever searched for downtown Seattle branding photos, you know how easy it is for things to feel a little too polished or disconnected. The goal here was the opposite. We wanted movement, personality, and images that actually feel like how Society Northwest shows up day to day.
One of the things I loved most about this session was how easy it felt. We weren’t overthinking locations or forcing anything. We walked, talked, stopped when something caught our eye, and kept things moving. That rhythm always makes for the best photos.
Society Northwest has such a strong identity already, so it was really about translating that into visuals. Confident but approachable. Elevated but still grounded. The kind of brand that feels like you already know them before you even meet them.
Downtown Seattle is one of my favorite places for branding sessions, especially for businesses that want a mix of structure and personality. You get the clean lines, the glass, the city textures, but also those little in-between spots that feel relaxed and lived-in.
For this session, we leaned into both. A little polished, a little candid, and a whole lot of movement. That balance is what makes downtown Seattle branding photos feel modern and useful across everything from websites to social to marketing materials.
If you’re building a brand and want photos that actually represent how you work and show up, this is exactly the kind of session we create at Kindred Co.
