So, a few weeks back I headed to the beach in Normandy Park, Washington with Valerie and Zach. We had what was basically the perfect summer evening together, running around on the sand and watching the sunset. And here’s the kicker: they brought their PERFECT Golden Retriever Rosie! She quickly became the love of my life obviously, and we had so much fun kicking off their session with pics of the whole fam!

The weather was phenomenal. Washington in June can be hit or miss, but this dreamy day really felt like summer was upon us. We kicked things off in the shade of some blooming park trails, but when that sun hit the sweet spot? Oh man, beach time.

Watching Valerie and Zach together it was clear that they were best friends and so comfortable in each other’s presence. Any camera shyness melted away pretty fast once I had them doing ridiculously fun poses all over the Normandy Park shore!

All in all it was the kind of engagement shoot that left me feeling amazing the entire drive home. Cheers to Washington’s summer vibes and these two cuties (and their four-legged third wheel) who made it so special.
