Ok so there are 10,000 wonderful things about this engagement session, but what made it SO special was the fact that Natalie is one of my oldest and best friends. We met in middle school, and when she asked if I would be up for doing their engagement photos I freaked– what a dream! I love her, I love James, and I love them together. It was an easy yes! Not to mention getting to do a session bopping around the San Juan Islands in a boat? Sign me up.
To add some extra flair to the session, Natalie wore a glam white mini dress and kitten veil. We popped a bottle of champagne on the streets of Friday Harbor, got ice cream at the Marina, beers at a local brewery, and then hopped back on the boat to change for part two of the session.
Now, here’s where things really got fun. Crane Island, where Natalie & James were staying, had this gorgeous secluded beach that we got to play around with during golden hour. They had so much fun they ended up in the Puget Sound fully clothed. As the. sun was setting, they embraced the moment and held each other with the water surrounding them. Pure magic.
Overall, this San Juan Island engagement session was the perfect summer day for all involved. Natalie and James, you’re my faves and I can’t wait for your 2024 wedding!

“She is incredible and you should look no further. I have never met a photographer so good at capturing truly candid moments. My friends, family, and husband all gushed over what an amazing job she did for days after our wedding. Not only are her photos amazing, but Brynna is the person you want staring at you for your entire wedding day!” – A+J
